Itanagar: Satya Gopal launched special enrolment camp for PMJJBY/PMSBY & CMAAY schemes

Chief Secretary Satya Gopal, today launched special enrolment camp for transport federation members for enrolling them in three schemes of Central and state government viz Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Chief Ministers Aarogya Arunachal Yojana.

The Chief Secretary exhorted all the members to enrol themselves and further encourage others to enrol in pro people schemes of the Central and State Government. Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana is available to people between 18 and 70 years of age with bank accounts. It has an annual premium of ₹12 exclusive of taxes. In case of accidental death or full disability, the payment to the nominee will be ₹2 lakh and in case of partial Permanent disability ₹1 lakh.

Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana is available to people between 18 and 50 years of age with bank accounts. It has an annual premium of ₹330. In case of death due to any cause, the payment to the nominee will be ₹2 lakh.

Chief Minister’s Aarogya Arunachal Yojana is a state health insurance scheme with coverage upto Rs. 5 lakhs for secondary and tertiary care.

The camp was organised by District Administration of Capital Complex in association with All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation and State Bank of India.

Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex Prince Dhawan requested the members present and transport federation to disseminate the schemes to farthest and remotest areas. With a meagre premiums these insurance schemes can be of extreme help in cases of untoward incidents and hospitalisation.

He further said that the camp will continue for two more days in Itanagar and a separate camp for Naharlagun would be organised in first week of January. He appealed that not only transport federation members but others should also enrol themselves in the schemes through these camps.

President AAPTF Dobin Sonam, thanked the CS and District Administration to bring the benefits of government schemes to the needy sections. He pledged to bring maximum enrolment of members of transport federation.

Sonam inform this daily that PMJJY/PMSBY total enrolment was 281 while CMAAY was 21 and the enrolment shall continue.
