Tara inaugurates 5th state level sotokan Karate-Do tournament

Shihan Likha Tara while addressing as chief guest at the 5th state level shotokan Karate-Do tournament at Bhalukpong in West Kameng today said that Government of Arunachal Pradesh have been giving lots of importance to the meritorious sportsperson who exhale in the national and international level and medal winners those who have brought laurel to the state.
The medal winners will not only get their recognisation but will get employment as per their qualification which shall be source of livelihood of himself as well as for the family dependent.
The Tawang and West Kameng is lacking behind the Karate in compare to other district of state and need promotion and appreciated the social workers cum Organising committee Chairman Sheriff Nimasow, local MLA Kumsi Sidisow for providing all support and cooperation in arranging the tournament Tara said.
Arunachal is champion in Karate for last three year in the region is only due to hard labour and sincerity of karatakas and due to which they are also employed and serving the state while few have brought laurel and placed their presence in the world arena of karate.
Tara further appeal the parents to send their wards to join Karate as a career option apart of academic activities which shall not only help in maintain the health but make the body and mind fit and fine.
All Arunachal Pradesh Shotokan Karate-Do Association President Sensei Tai Hipik elaborated about the emergence of traditional and modern karate from martial arts, he also presented detail of the participations of karatakas in various level events in various states and country of the world and also medal winners from state who have achieved name and fame.
Organising Committee Chairman and social workers Sheriff Nimasow while lauding the Chief guest Likha Tara and Technical Director Shihan S Devan Sharma for promotion of Karate and guiding the young talented youths of state in career option and health building he appeal the organisation to recognised the Bhalukpong club in the association list. He also thank the local MLA Kumsi Sidisow and Chief Minister Pema Khandu who have supported the event for its success.
Technical Director Shihan S Devan Sharma while talking to this daily said that a total of 147 youths are participating, there are many events and category including below 13, 16 for boys and girls in katha, in catogery and events the players are under 12 also and open category for men and women. 22 officials out of which 12 are national technical officers from Karate association of India are supervising and monitoring the event.
This year more participating team have arrived, the function got a grand start and the accommodation as well as other facilities are like of national level so he hope that the participants will enjoy the place as well as tournament Sharma added.
Among others Aka Elite Society Vice President Labi Dususow, AGS Lama Sidisow, Bhalukpong Circle Officer Khoda Rakhi and large numbers of local people and parents of the participants were present. The valedictory as well as prize distribution will be takes place tomorrow wherein DC West Kameng will gives away the prizes.
