New State Assembly Building would be Functional Soon

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Bamang Felix paid a visit to the under construction new State Assembly Building complex of Arunachal Pradesh today to oversee the work progress of the state asset. He was accompanied by Commissioner Parliamentary Affairs department Bilatee Pertin, officers from PHE & WS, Power and PWD.
During his inspection, Felix was assured by the executing agency (PWD) that the building would be made functional by mid May. Taking a tour of the entire building and minutely checking the infrastructure, the Minister categorically instructed PWD and other link departments to ensure that the deadline for completion of building is met.
Felix, while interacting with the officers revealed that the next special session on the ratification of GST Bill – 2017 will be held in the new building by 3rd week of May, which is a mandatory exercise as directed by the Union Government. He therefore asked all the stakeholders to tighten their belts for ensuring completion of the project in the stipulated time frame.
The minister however, expressed satisfaction over the work progress and informed that such inspection would be made by him in regular intervals to take stock of the progress.
