Khandu flags off Digital India Outreach Campaign Van

Setting a milestone for an IT revolution in Arunachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Pema Khandu today flagged-off the Digital India Outreach Campaign Van in presence of Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, cabinet ministers, parliamentary secretaries and top government officials.
The Chief Minister appealed his legislator colleagues to extend full cooperation and support to the Outreach Campaign Van while on mobile throughout the State.
The Digital India Programme under the initiative of Prime Minister, Govt. of India, has launched various Digital India program/ products to provide several government services to the people using IT and to integrate the government departments and the people of India.
To popularise these programs and to sensitize the masses of such products and programs so that services and benefits reaches the real beneficiaries, an Outreach programme has been conceptualized. The objective is to create awareness and sensitize people and citizens on this various products/ programs that was launched under Digital India programmes by Government of India in July 2015.
The Chief Minister welcomed this noble program initiated by PM Narendra Modi in the State and announced to take the responsibility of carrying forward the great work ahead.
The campaign will reach out to people in rural and semi urban areas and explain the target group by explaining the benefits and details of the services offered under e-Governance, Healthcare, e-Commerce etc.
For the success of the Digital India in its true sense it is important that population in rural areas who have been deprived of the IT revolution are aware of the benefits and avail the services without any hassles and concern, said the Chief Minister.
Outreach Campaign is a van based mobile display/ exhibition unit with Audio visual, IEC material. Van will travel for around 10-15 days in a particular district depending on the population coverage. The van will carry out rural outreach campaign in Gram Panchayats, Post offices, CSC, Schools, Business Correspondents, SHGs, Haats across Districts, Sub- Districts and villages.
An agency M/s Jagran Solutions has been selected to execute this campaign to conduct registration drive for DI services such as Aadhaar, Digital Locker, CSC-G2C services, Scholarship portal, MyGov and Volunteer Management System. Along with this, the IT department has also included display of eServices of the various successful State run eGovernance projects.
All District Administrators has been informed with District wise timeline route plan to coordinate accordingly and extend all administrative support necessary, said the Chief Minister.
