Army Conducts Medical Camp in Sialmari Char

A Medical camp was conducted in Sialmari Char by the Nalbari Army Camp of the Red Horns Divison. The aim of organizing the camp was to provide primary health care and treatment to the residents of far flung & underdeveloped areas of Sialmari Char. A total of 1150 patients were treated in the day long event. It was a humane & compassionate gesture of the Army to reach the inaccessible areas of Char and Chapories and to provide medical assistance to the needy people. Fruits & refreshments were catered for the patients and sweets were distributed to the children.
Speaking on the occasion the Gaon Burah & Civ med authorities expressed their gratitude towards this noble gesture of the Indian Army. Patients were given treatment by four Army doctors and 02 civil doctors & 02 ANM from PHC Sialmari and Bhangnamri. A dental chair was also est to provide the facility of dental treatment to the affected patients. Med camp received a overwhelming response from the Villagers, who thronged the camp in long ques to benefits from this unique initiative of Indian Army. The event was also supported by the Nalbari District administration and Dr Chitranjan Pathak, Joint Director Health Services .
