Government of Maharastra organised a felicitation program in Mantralaya Building Mumbai last Monday to honour Anshu Jamsenpa for her recent world record achievement. Vinod Tawde, Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs, Culture, Higher & Technical Education, Sitaram Kunte Additional Chief Secretary, Nand Kumar Principal Secretary of Sports & Secondary Education and several other high officials attended the programme.
While showering Anshu with praises for her grit and determination, Tawde said that he has been following her world record expedition on Mt Everest very closely from the very beginning. He announced full sponsorship for Anshu’s next expedition amounting Rupees Twenty Two Lakhs. He also conveyed Maharastra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s message of congratulation and best wishes to Anshu for her next expedition.
In a separate function organized in Mantralaya Building Eknath Shinde Minister of PWD & MSRDC felicitated Anshu and wished her many more success. He stated that Anshu through her mountaineering achievement has inspired scores of youths especially the women folk.
Anshu while obliging humbly, stated that it was an absolute honour to be felicitated by the Cabinet Ministers of Maharastra.
Mumbai Port Trust, Ministry of Shipping Govt of India also felicitated Anshu in their Port House which was followed by an escorted tour of iconic Alexandra Dock of 1914 fame and an exclusive visit to cruise lines and cargo vessels. Deputy Chairman Yashodhan Wanage extended the felicitations to Anshu and said that the entire Mumbai Port Trust was happy to have her amidst them and that her achievement is a big inspiration to all.
SAAD Mountaineers led by Naresh Singrupe and D Y Patil Group Director Dr Rahul Gethe felicitated Anshu and Tsering Wange president AMASA in Hotel Taj Palace Mumbai. Taljinder Singh GM of Taj Palace Mumbai thanked her for patronising the hotel and said that he was happy to have a world record holder staying in their property. Several other Public Sector Undertakings and prominent social bodies also organised felicitation programmes in Mumbai to honour Anhsu Jamsenpa during her five days trip to Mumbai.
