Subsequently SI Karbom Tao was entrusted the case to take immediate action.
When the enquiry went on in progress it was found that the victim and suspected accused was husband and wife and observed that the body was buried in a small nallah (stream) in decomposed condition.
After obtaining permission from the district magistrate the body was exhumed dead body and inquiry conducted by police team with CO cum Executive Magistrate Bittu Kri in presence of relatives and neighbours and later post mortem was also conducted and body handed over to the relatives for conducting last rites.
The accused was arrested on April 10 and remanded to two days custody and later produced before the CGM on April 14 and confessed his involvement in the crime while the weapon used the crime was also recovered nearby the jungle of the place of occurrence and the accused Kharsag Tania have been remanded to Jully jail.
