friendship football tournament held at Kangku to strengthened communal harmony among the people residing along Arunachal-Assam border

With an aim to develop friendships, brotherhood, peace and tranquillity among the border area people of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh a Friendly football tournament was inaugurated by Lower Siang superintendent of police Surendra Choudhary and Dhemaji superintendent of police Rakesh Reddy at Laipulia Assam.
The first match played between Laipulia Youth Club and Kangku Youth Club was won by Kanku youth club by 5/3 goal.
Around month ago some videos were viral regarding border disputes between Assam and Arunachal in Kangku area.
Choudhary while inaugurating emphasized upon maintaining harmonious relations among people of both side. He also requested to not to take law in hands . He also urged not to miss use social media during such incidents.
In the series of relation building measures, Laikhuta programme was also inaugurated by SP Lower Siang to celebrate Chao- Lung-Chu-Ka-Pha Diwas at Silapathar which is being organised by All Assam Ahom Sabha , Silapathar Anchlik Committe with coordination committee of both side people of Silapathar ( assam) and Lower Siang.
