Itanagar- 10 days Thal sainik camp inaugurated

Ten days Thal sainik camp began here with participation of more than 550 NCC partisans and more than 25 officials from various parts of state and NE region om August 12.

The camp is begin organised by 1 AP battalion NCC, Naharlalgun from 9th August to 19th August at Rajiv Gandhi Polytechnic college where in the participants  (Cadets) who are college students from  Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. The speciality is that the 40 girls cadets from all NE region who have been chosen from their respective states and after this camp they will be attending advance Thal Sainik Camp at NCC academy at Jorhat. Out of 533 cadets only 80 would be selected will go to Jorhat and later  to New Delhi in the September first week.

Addressing the inauguration function  Group headquarter, Tezpur Brigadier M. S. Jodha in his speech said one should  determine in mind with an ambition for his/her success. The Education is the backbone while taking in such activities will enlightened for a principle in life with a discipline. He appeal the cadets to maintain discipline even in all walk of life either in family or at work place as well as school/college.

He appeal one and all to respect elders and love younger for a happy relationship for a happy family and complete academic activities properly to become a good human being.

Commanding Officer, Lt Col N.K.Bishnoi, SM, , Camp adjutant Lt. Agin Taboh, TO Lt. Achut Sarkar, CTO Palvinder Singh among other spoke on the occasion.

The 10 days programme while shall deal with training of arm and weapon warfare, drill, self defence, discipline, exchange of traditional cultural and music, social service, physical exercise, PT including academic competition.
