Itanagar: Girl student dies, 2 injured after scooty skids off

A Class V Girl student of Kendrya Vidayalaya-I, died on spot while two other sustained injuries when they were travelling in a Scooty skidded off during their onward journey to school on Wednesday morning.
Naharlagun OC, PS N. Riba informed that it was not a good experience of driving where the life of a small child was lost which is an unfortunate.
Narrating the incident Riba said that two sister who are studying in KV-I at Naharlagun got delayed and her bus was left. Their father who is running a small restaurant at Gandhi Market in Itanagar who have a sooty went to drop their children to School and on way the scooty while trying to overtake a truck skidded off between Itanagar-Naharlagun on NH-415 which is under construction.
Younger daughter and himself fell on right side of the road while elder daughter fell on left side ass the Truck was behind and ragged the elder daughter who died on spot due to haemorrhage.
The deceased have been identified as Susmita Roy, 13 years a student of Class-V died on spot while both father Amit Roy and his younger daughter sustained minor injuries.
Naharlagun Police have registered a case vide No- 30/18 u/s-279, 304 (A) IPC and the Truck bearing registration No- AR 01 B 4072 have been seized while driver have been taken into custody and further investigation is on.
Meanwhile after conducting the formalities and Post Mortem the body have been handed over to the family members to conduct last rite at his native at North Lakhimpur in Assam. OC added.
