Itanagar: Man held for Hanuman Mandir Burglary case, cash recovered

Capital police arrested a burglar and recovered cash within two days of registration of case and solved the Hanuman mandir burglary case, informed Capital SP Tumme Amo.
Amo inform that, one Avinash Kr Dubey of Hanuman Seva Samiti, Ganga Market on 30/11/19 in written FIR informed that on 29th Nov, around 1 AM, some unknown thief broke the lock of main gate of Hanuman Mandir and took away mandir’s cash amount of Rs 1.5 lakh approximately.
Accordingly a case was registered in Itanagar Police station and investigation was launched. Amo said.
During investigation, Capital Police team comprising of Itanagar police station OC PS Inspr Minli Geyi, SI N. Nishant, SI G.Arangham, H.C M.Kamgo, Ct Siplu Das, Ct Ravi Singh, Ct Buru Pali under the close supervision of SDPO Kamdam Sikom and SP Capital started screening all suspected criminals having previous records of similar offences and also conducted raids in suspected places with the help of local sources.
On December 1st at night the team arrested one Bahadur Pradhan alias Kuku Chetry age 21 yrs from Nyokum Lapang area who looted the Mandir and recovered stolen cash amount of Rs 37000/- from his possession. He informed.
Amo further said that investigation is still on to recover more amount as the accused person is stating that he had spent out some Rs 10,000/- and remaining amount was kept in one labour barrack from where some unknown labourer had taken it away in his absence.
