Health Minister Alo Libang launched the season 3 of the talent hunt in presence of various dignitaries. In his speech, the Minister said music has great healing power and called the event as welcome step. He said Arunachal Chief Minister is not only a ‘development lover’ but also a ‘music lover’ and lauded his contribution in encouraging the singing talent.
Elated at the enthusiastic response, Khandu who is also the patron of FFM conveyed his best wishes to all the participants. He expressed happiness that winner of the Mon Sergyeling Season 1 contest Thutan Tsering had made it to Indian Idol top 20 and hoped that the youngsters will bring out their best-hidden talents and take their skill to similar advanced level.
This season saw participation of more than 242 participants, out of which 30 were shortlisted for the two event of Mon Sergyeling (modern song category) and Mon Rigzshung Sergyeling (folk song category).
The winner of Mon Sergyeling category will be awarded with Rs 5 lac with Rs 3 lac and Rs 1 lac for first runner up and second runner up respectively. Also the winner of Mon Rigzshung Sergyeling category will be awarded with Rs 3 lac with Rs 2 lac and Rs 1 lac for first runner up and second runner up respectively.
