Meanwhile, both the magistrate in its circular No. No DC/ICC/JUD-28/2019 has already appealed all the relatives of the deceased, eyewitnesses, victims and public having information/video footage of the circumstances leading to their death to appear at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, capital complex, Itanagar for recording of their deposition w.e.f 13 to 17 May’ 2019 in office hour.
The state government on March last had announced a judicial probe headed by a retired judge into the large scale rioting, violence, and vandalism during the PRC protest that left three people dead.
The chief minister Pema Khandu had said earlier that the justice would be delivered to the bereaved families and the people responsible for unleashing the violence would be brought to book.
It is to be noted that the protest on PRC issue that went out of proportion leading to loss of three precious lives was reported to be politically motivated. The result of enquiry will ascertain as who was behind the heinous crime.
