The Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein inaugurated the District Secretariat Building Khonsa, Block C in presence of Honchun Ngandam, Minister of Education, Wangki Lowang, Minister of Agriculture & DoTCL, Wanglin Lowangdong, Advisor to Chief Minister, MLAs Wanglam Sawin and Tirong Aboh, Deputy Commissioner, Khonsa, Ravi Jha, Secretary Education, Bidol Tayeng and SP, J K Meena among others. The dignitaries were given a rousing reception at the festival ground with the beating of drums, saam/nong echoing in the hillock town of Khonsa.
Responding to the pleas submitted to him, DCM assured to sanction remaining balance amount of Rs 15 crore for the completion of District Secretariat Building at Khonsa from the fund kept for the completion of incomplete Secretariat Buildings in the budget. He also assured to look into the fund requires for construction of DIET building, boundary walls of schools at Khonsa as demanded by the Education Minister.
