Parliamentary Secretary Home & Education Pani Taram said that the youths are the future of tomorrow and should prefer sports apart of education as a career option. He was addressing the valedictory function of the 3rd Gyamar Tajik Memorial football tournament at the football ground of Tikdo Middle School as chief guest.
Taram said that youths should not use drugs during education and sports which damage the young age. Apart of academic activities sports and games which would lead or turn to be a career in future can be obtained and state government have also given special provision of providing employment to the meritorious sportsperson.
He said that winning and loosing is a part of all games and appeal them to maintain sportsmanship and team spirit so that they can escalate the to higher level to district and state level and even to national level.
Guest of Honour, Doimukh ASM Chairperson Yab Lotus while lauding Pioneer Late Gyamar Tagik in the establishment of Papum Pare district headquarter at Yupia and appeal the youths and gathering present to maintain sincerity and dedication for the development of the area in all day to day activities of the area in particular and state as a whole.
Organising Chairman Gyamar Piter while said that there were all total 16 participating team from the entire district and capital complex which was kick off started on December 2 and the final match played between Khyoda FC of and Young Generation FC.
The final match played between Khyoda FC Vrs Young Generation FC which was won by YGFC by a margin of 3/0.
YGFC of Papu Nallah while winning the 3rd Gyamar Tagik running football cup with a cash prize of Rupees Sixty Thousand while the runner cup was given away to Khyoda FC of Naharlagun with trophy and a cash prize of Rupees Thirty Thousand
The best player goes to Takar Rari of YGFC. Highest scorer was given to Gyamar Nai of Akum-11 FC. Best goal keeper was given to Tok Romjum
