1300 registered workers received LED TV sets

More than 1300 registered workers under the Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Welfare Workers Board (APB & OCWWB)  received  LED Television sets at a mega awareness programme organised by the Board at Multipurpose Hall at Changlang on Sunday last.

Hydro Power Parliamentary Secretary Phosum Khimum attending the function as chief guest  in his address said that the workers are the true harbinger of the construction He also appeal the workers to maintain the good work culture and to keep up their spirit high so that works completed with a quality for longrun utility. He further assured to highlight the grievance of the workers community  to the state government.

Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs Parliamentary Secretary Laisam Simai attended as guest of honour briefing about the statuary and non statutory benefit of the Board urge upon the workers community to maintain the good work culture so that other workers also dedicate and act upon for a good productivity and works with finishing.

Department of Tirap, Changlang & Longding  (DOTCL) and Trade & Commerce Parliamentary Secretary Tesam Pongte said that the Board is for the benefit for the workers community and in such way all workers who are engaged in construction activities need to registered to avail benefit and many such items are being distributed by the Board from time to time.

Such supports from the Board will naturally motivate the workers continue to work with sincerity and support themselves to become a part of nation building. He also urge upon various department to deposit the labour cess timely so that all such activities and other various programmes of the Board are not hampered. Pongte attended the function as special guest.

Workers Union Zonal Secretary Sanu Tamang briefed about various schemes taken up by the Board for the welfare of the workers community. He also appeal the fellow workers to get registered in the Board without wasting of time an avail the benefits of the Board.

Spouse of Late Jyotin Singpho received a cheque of Rupees One Lakh under workers welfare beneficial scheme of APB&OCWWB . Late Jyotin was a victim of accidental death on duty.

The programme was witness by ADC  W Wangjen, SP Changlang J K Lego, HODs and large numbers of registered workers of Changlang district and adjoining area.
