Arunachal: Rebia inspects Papum Poma River Festival site
Forest Minister Nabam Rebia visited and inspected the site of Papum Poma River Festival- 2018 (PPRF-2018 )

The Minister for Forest and Local MLA Nabam Rebia appeal the People of papum poma and state tourism Department to promote the Papum Poma area and make it best tourist destination, while visiting the ongoing preparation site’s of the upcoming Papum Poma River Festival- 2018 (PPRF-2018 ) here at Kanebung Village under Sangdupota circle.
During the site visit Minister Rebia appeal the local people and all the HoDs of the various departments to help the festival for grand successes, because the area is very near to state capital and have the tourism potential.
However state have so many tourist spots but all of them are far away from state capital where festival organized only one time in a year. But in this area people can enjoy on every holiday, can Make picnic party throughout the year. Minister also requested the committee members and youths of the area to develop the area for permanent tourist destination.
He also disclosed the Union Minister for Home Kiren Rijiju will be inaugurate the four days Papum poma River festival 2018 is being organized on the riverside of Papum Poma from 28th November to 1st December 2018 .
The four days festival will be hosted in the confluence of Papum Poma at Kanebung village under Sangdupota Circle, Papum Pare District. The areas are blessed with abundant natural scenic beauties, religious sites, rich in flora and fauna. The venue is just 33 km from the Itanagar city. This location can attract large numbers of visitors where they will be treated to various lifetime experiences with thrilling adventure events like White Water Rafting, Rock climbing, Kayaking, Zip-line, river crossing, Rappelling, Hiking, Angling and Camping, Traditional sports and beach volleyball, live performance with traditional ambience by local artists, celebrities and exhibition of local agricultural products, endless opportunities to enjoy local cuisine and lots more to be explored by the visitors.
Rebia was accompanied by deputy Commissioner of Papum Pare Dr. Joram Beda, and many officers from various department.
