Arunachal : Leppa Rada new district soon-Kiren Rijiju

Leppa Rada (new district) curving out from recently created Lower Siang district of the state will be soon takes its shape as approved by the state cabinet said Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju on Thursday.
Rijiju while addressing a huge gathering on the occasion of celebration of 52 Mopin festival of Galo community here at general ground said that the demand of the people of the 29 Bassar Assembly Constituency will be fulfilled as the state government have approved for creation of new district curving out from Lower Siang.
The bill for the new district “Leppa Rada” shall come up in the next session of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly soon.
He said it is a big achievement for the people that several schemes have been taken up this year under different parts of the circle alone amounting to crores.
Referring to Potin-Pangin Road Rijiju said that the contractor have pulled back from the work and it will be taken up again.
He said that the 407 kilometre road will be taken up in 9 different package and accordingly tender will be floated so that such situation like earlier is not being faced.
He said the scheme taken up in last 4 years can be compared to last 50 years is a commendable and appreciable matter for the government led by Pema Khandu in state and Narendra Modi in centre.
Responding to the memorandum submitted by the festival committee and Local ZPM Bajap Jilen Minister said that he will provide a specified general play ground for Tirbin while announced 12 lakhs for specialised Ambulance and assured to take up all matters in respect of development and public interest.
He also announced to create Tirbin from EAC Hq to ADC hq soon but sought support from the common people in implementation of several road project and other schemes for the Tirbin township
Guest of Honour, Galo Welfare Society (GWS) President Dr. J. M. Boje said that it is time for rejoicing for the community people and we need to celebrate the festival in true later and spirit. He suggested several way and mean for celebration of festival by the community which is a identical of traditional and culture of the Galo community
Local MLA and Parliamentary Secretary SJETA and LM Gojen Gadi said that several PMGSY sachems have been taken up in his assembly constituency. He said that he don’t want to play any politic and festival celebration period not for discussion of any political matter rather it is for rejoicing and it is being celebrated for the progress and prosperity of the people.
Organising Committee Member readout the mythology of the Mopin festival and its celebration by Galo Community. Mopin festival celebration committee President Kali Gadi, General Secretary and Tirbin ZPM Bajap Jilen also address the gathering.
