Sharma said that the organization is working in 25 states of the country for the consumer welfare. He urged the CRO workers in district level to attain detail information from the concerned department. The issue of consumer is very vast and one cannot cover all at a time, therefore work as a team with the help of department, he said.
He also spoke on various aims and objectives of the training program.
Capital complex ADC Talom Dupok said that capital being a vast area, all the consumer related issues can’t be dealt in a time. Therefore, such awareness and training programe will help the consumer to provide more knowledge about their rights.
“If consumer knows their rights, it will also ease the administration and the concerned department work load,” he said while adding that unless the public is not well aware of their rights, problems will exist.
CRO-AP president Achu Bagang in his speech said that, organization working for providing knowledge and awareness on consumer issues is very less in the northeast. Therefore, he requested the district CRO, to spearhead various programs on consumer rights from district to village level.
The training was attended by Director of Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS), District Medical Officer (DMO) Mundip Perme, Food safety officer, Assistant Drug controller Gebom Tayeng, Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) chairman Jalley Sonam and other department heads.
All spoke on the day while highlighting various area of work where the CRO can work for the consumer welfare.
