The state police arrested one more person involved in the extortion attempt incident at the office of the Director of Audit and Pension.
According to Taba Tusar, DIGP, the accused was arrested from Naharlagun on Thursday. Taba expressed confidence that the arrest of remaining accused would be made soon.
Till now police arrested two persons in the case. On Wednesday, the police had arrested one of the accused from Banderdewa.
Both the arrest was only possible on tip of information received from various sources from Itanagar to Banderdewa and Yupia area.
Meanwhile the arrest of these two accused was a major boost for the capital Police as wel as a a achievement for the police administration who have been able to take confident of the people in maintaining law and order in the state capital.
It must be mentioned here that unidentified miscreants entered the office of the Director of Audit and Pension on Monday with arms and allegedly attempted to attack Director A Bhasit.
