Itanagar: Violation of Traffic rules is a crime- Chakfa Wangsu

Capital complex District Transport Officer (DTO) Chakfa Wangsu on Monday have warned all those who are violating the various traffic rule in the capital complex.

Wangsu inform that it have been observed that several light motor vehicle owner and driver including two wheeler are driving their vehicle without number plate. It is also observed that several vehicle are still with tainted glass fitted in their vehicle which are against the law and is banned by the supreme court of India.

Traffic management is a challenge specially in Itanagar and Naharlagun. Itanagar traffic warden (ITW) have been deployed at various location like Bank Tinali, Ganga, near AP Sectt and in the main road of Naharlaugn market area to control the traffic.

Managing traffic is not only the responsibility of the traffic police, capital police, ITW.  The people on road have also a greater role to play in making our capital with free of traffic jam.

Recent traffic jam in Itanagar is due to road condition at near Talang Hira memorial and in E Sector and another construction of RCC bridge at F & G Sector. He hope that if the denizens cooperate and abide by the traffic law the huge rush and traffic jam could be reduce.

When his attention was drawn toward the IMC vehicle without number plate, Wangsu said out of 31 vehicle the IMC authority have submitted for registration of 19 vehicle which got registered while IMC have been requested to submit for registration of remaining vehicle soon. He said rule is for all, everyone should abide by the rule and traffic system so that the general people do not get unnecessary harassment. DTO added.

Capital SP Tumme Amo said that the first important is the two wheeler riders should wear helmet which is a safety measures.  He urge upon all not to park their vehicle haphazardly and pave way to other and drive safely. Amo added.
