RKMMS organises HIV/AIDS screening test camp at Vijaynagar

R.K. Mossang Memorial Society, organised one HIV/AIDS screening test camp at Vijaynagar, under Changlang distict, from 15.11.17 to 19.11.17 as a part of Targeted Intervention Project of Female Sex Workers of Changlang districts and Targeted Intervention Project on Migrant Population of Changlang district. Total 112 nos. of persons were tested their HIV/AIDS status through this camp.
The first step towards preventing HIV is by creating awareness about the disease. This will significantly curb risky behaviour among people.
It must be mention here that the HIV/AIDS cases have been steadily going up in Arunachal Pradesh over the past few years. HIV is caused by transmission of three types: Sexual, exposure to infected blood and vertical transmission from mother to child.
