International Yoga Day celebrated throughout Arunachal Pradesh
The 21st June 2019, Along with the rest of the country, the International Yoga Day was celebrated at All over Arunachal Pradesh.
Chimpu
Thousand took part in the Yoga at the campus of Kenriya Vidalaya here today morning as a part of International Yoga Day celebration. Minister, Sports & Youth Affairs Mama Natung addressing tye gathering exhorted the public to develop craze in practicing daily Yoga for healthy body and sound mind and also physical fitness and a good posture.
ITBP Frontier Headquarter IG Sanjeev Rawat said that doing yoga and daily exercise is a routine work for the security personnel but Yoga give some more power to make a sound mind.
The programme was organized by Kenriya Vidalaya Sanghatan in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra wherein personnels of ITBP, CRPF, NDRF and students of KV II participated the Yoga programme.
Tawang
The 5th International Yoga Day was organized at Gyalwa Tsangyang Gyatso High altitude stadium Tawang by District Sports Authority and Health Department Tawang in collaboration with district Administration. MLA Tawang Tsering Tashi attended the occasion as chief guest. Tashi in his address to the gathering conveyed his thankfulness to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating the day. Health is everything and we should be very careful in this regard, Yoga is a medium through which we can keep our physical as well as mental health in good condition he said. He further informed the gathering that three months yoga camp will be organized soon for better health of the people of Tawang.
Naharlagun
Students of OJU MISSION SCHOOL-Papu-nallah, today participated in celebration of INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY organised by VIVEKANANDA CENTER OF HUMAN EXCELLENCE, A-Sector, Naharlagun. Yoga is not a religious practice but it is scientific way of life. Experience yoga for the Body, Mind and soul.
Tezu
A mass procession was taken out across the Tezu Township to sensitize common masses about the essence of Yoga through play card, banners and shouting slogan reverberating in the air. Later the procession concluded at Jubilee Ground. Karikho Kri MLA Tezu – Sunpura Constituency in his message exhort the public to develop craze in practicing daily Yoga for healthy mind and body, peace and harmony of the area. Sony Singh (IAS) AC in another message appeals one and all to make yoga as part of life for fit and healthy lifestyle.
Namsai
The International Yoga Day was celebrated at Namsai district headquarter in a grand manner at Poi Pee Mau ground, Namsai. Mrs Jummum Ete Deori MLA, 48th Lekang attended the event as chief guest where she spoke on the rich traditions of Yoga and encouraged the participants to engage themselves in physical exercises in their daily lives. Deputy Commissioner Namsai, Dr. Tapasya Raghav, welcomed the participants and spoke on the benefits of yoga and urged the participants to teach & propagate the principles of yoga to atleast 5 more people so that yoga becomes a way of life.
