Itanagar: 5 Injured after APST bus met with an accident in Chandanagar

APST Bus carrying 60 school children got break fail, hit sumo, car and Scooty in Chandanagar, 5 injured,  1 grievously, Driver arrested.

Five person injured, one is stated to be grievously, when a APST bus carrying students of Kendrya Vidyalaya-II  meet with an accident at Chandanagar in . However precious life of 60 school children were saved.

A major accident was averted today when the ill fated bus brake failed and hit the one portion of the bridge at Chandangar and the precious life of 60 school children were saved.

Itanagar Police station Officer Incharge Tabi Bage inform that the APST bus bearing registration NO- ARX 0449 was on its way to drop the students of KV-II to various location of the city toward Ganga.

Before the bus hit the bridge it first hit a Tata Sumo, a Maruti Car and a Scooty in which 4 person got minor injuries. A pedestrian also got contact with the said bus and was hit and received grievous injuries and was identified as Jumlli Likar of Kamba area of West Siang district.

All the injured person was taken to RK Mission, Hospital where 4 person with minor injuries were discharged while the person with grievous injured have been referred to GNRC, Guwahati with head injury. Bage said.

A case have been registered vide Itanagar Police Station Case No-20/19 u/s-279, 338 IPC and the driver A Biswas have been arrested. Bage added.

APST Station Superintendent Tuter Dolum while said that due to technical defect the accident have been occurred, it is now made known that most of the injured person have been released after first aid, another bus was sent to pick up the children to drop to their destination, he however said that all school children’s were unhurt and safe.
