EDMB to organise ‘Arunachal Music festival’ to promote folk music and dances

Ejeng Dudak Musical Band (EDMB) a famous musical band of the state to organise Arunachal Music festival from January 17 to 21 next in befitting manner for promotion of folk music, folk dance and exposure of traditional bonanza in befitting manner.
Addressing the media person at Arunachal Press Club EDMB Chairman Takam Dado Tallom said that we have been planning for the such a mega event which shall expose our folk music, dances which is slowly extinct from the mind of the people.
In course of modernisation of our younger generation are forgetting the folklore , folk song as well as folk dances which is one of the identical feature of our traditional value and by which we define ourselves in different clans, he added.
So far we are 26 major tribes in the state and all tribes have their own folklores, fold song which need to be preserved and we have been trying our best and working in it to have a documentation for future reference, Tallom said.
The festival first of its kind is being organised by the band wherein all most all the artist of the major tribes are expected to attend and present their talent , skill and vocals which would be attended by the music lovers of state at Nyokum Lapang ground.
He said that the winners will be selected through love voting of which the EDMB have recently launched live voting remote control to make the competition exciting and fair for both the organiser and the participants.
Event Director Bamang Loram said that EDMB aim shall be at preserving and promoting the diverse culture, folk song, folklores, and traditional music instruments of different tribes of the state.
He said that in addition to the music festival we are organising various competition for folk song, folk dance, Ballad, traditional instrument competition, local rap battle, traditional attire, Ramp walk, Bollywood songs, Beat boxing and many more for the young music lovers of state and the winners will be awarded
