Arunachal : BJPMM organises cleanliness drive at Roing

BJP Minority Morcha ( BJMM ) organised a cleanliness drive at Roing main market under the banner of Swach Bharat Abhiyan on Wednesday here.
BJKK President Loku Sono , Advisor to CM Sotai Kri, former MLA of Roing Laeta Umbrey, President Nagaland MM Mukibur Rahman, and Parliamentary Secretary WRD Gum along with the locals participated in the drive on the day.
Advisor to CM Sotai Kri while appealing the dwellers of the market area asked to keep clean to bring healthy living and organize such cleanliness drive every week too. It’s the responsibility of every individual of the district to clean at least the own surrounding.
He also urged all the villagers head to create awareness of healthy living as many times it is ignored in the villages. Keeping clean your surroundings is good sign of living where kids are protected with various diseases, he said.
Meanwhile former MLA of Roing Laeta Umbrey sought participation from all the people of the state to participate voluntarily in such programme. The shopkeepers as well the customers too have the responsibility to clean the area.
He asked the consumers to not dispose plastic any cover of product haphazardly in the market hoping it is the duty of concerned department. We all as individual should carry civic sense and take on personal responsibility being the citizen of the district, he added.
Urban Department who were collecting Rs 300 per from shopkeeper was too high in cost. For which the former minister asked the concerned engineer of the UD to minimise the civic charge to the minimum so that it does not hamper the market community.
