The district unit who do not conduct district level tournament will be recognised and disaffiliated, said Arunachal Karate-Do Association (AKA) President Likha Tara in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association. Tara said that communication gap has been observed which need to be corrected and officials from district and state committee should maintained.
Conducting of district level tournament / championship will give lots of opportunity to the players of the district who can perform their talent at state level and if selected they will also equally given that opportunity to represent the state at national and international level events.
It is an opportunity that I am there at national level but the state committee should work hard to produce good players. There is no dearth of talent among our children but need, proper guidance and training.
He said that all players should adhere to the guidelines and follow rule of AKA and KAI. It is happy to know that many karatakas have won laurel for state and nation at several national and international tournament and some of them have got benefit and absorbed in government service.
He requested those players who got govt. employment to guide the upcoming talented and budding players to nurture them.
Several state executive members and state committee members also briefed several activities in respective district.
New state Executive was also constituted. The new committed were also felicitated.
Deven Sharma, Yorda Niki, Charu Tatung, Tai Hipik, Dr Marli Ete among other also address and put forward their views and suggestion for strengthening of Karate in state.
Four point resolution was also adopted unanimously for strengthening of activities of the AKA.
