Mein also assured to take up the issues pertaining to Ningru Extension Petroleum Mining Lease (PML) in Changlang and Namsai Districts of Arunachal Pradesh with the Chief Minister as the Forest Clearance of the projects which is requisite for the re-grant of PML to OIL is pending with the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change in New Delhi.
He also discussed issues regarding proposal for setting up of 10 MW Natural Gas Plant at Kumchai under Diyun Circle of Changlang District and asked the officials to expedite the formalities for setting up the plant.
Kamlung Mosang, Minister of Geology & Mining who also attended the meeting urged the OIL officials to take up more employable activities in their area of operation and to reserve seats for the Arunachal youths citing unemployment as the main cause of unrest among the youths today.
A K Baruah, General Manager, OIL Duliajan while informing that the OIL submitted the requisite Forest clearance proposal towards re-grant of Ningru PML in the year 2004 which is still pending with the Ministry of Enviironment, Forest & Climate Change and requested the State Govt to take up the matter with the Govt of India.
Among others, Chow Zingnu Namchoom, Parlaimentary Secretary for Planning, Hage Kojeen, Commissioner (Geology & Mining), R K Sharma, DC Namsai, Omkar Singh, IFS (PCCF), O Moyong, CE(Power) and Mitali Namchoom, Special Secretary, Geology & Mining attended the meeting.
