Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein inaugurated a magnificent Musup (Dere) at Motum Village and a School Auditorium for Govt Secondary School at Kiyit Village today. On this occasion he stated that the ” Govt is trying to develop Arunachal on all fronts”
Addressing a huge gathering, Mein exhorted the people to maintain the asset created by the Govt and use it purposefully. He said that with improving connectivity opportunities are opening up for the people of the State and urged the young generations to avail of the growing opportunities that come in their way.
He lauded the executing agencies of both the buildings for it’s non-echoing design and beautiful architect saying that these buildings would become a model for others too.
Responding to numbers of memorandum submitted by the people at Kiyit Village, Mein said to forward the project of Rs 2 crore for flood protection work at Rosam Korong in Kiyit Village for funding from NEC. He asked the people to submit the project proposal as early as possible. He also assured to look into demand for five units of Type-II Teacher’s quarter and a science block at Kiyit Secondary School.
Regarding the demand for posting of subject teachers at Borguli Higher Secondary School, he said that the shortage of subject teachers in the schools across the State will be resolved soon as the State Govt has created more than 1000 nos. of teaching and non teaching staffs in education department. The recruitment of the subject teachers will be done through APPSC in the coming year.
On the demand for new Circle Headquarter at Kiyit under Mebo Sub-Division, he assured to take up the matter with the Chief minister and bring it to cabinet for a decision.
At Motum, he said to submit proposal for tourist project for development of tourism spot at Tango Epong Patang (natural lake) under D. Ering Wildlife Sanctuary as demanded but at the same time asked to select the site cautiously without disturbing the greenery of the area. He also assured to look into repairing of Secondary School Building at Motum and requirements of teacher’s quarter and also the flood protection work at Siluk Village and embankment at Sikhu river bank.
Regarding the demand for a new district, he said to apprise the same to the Chief Minister.
Lombo Tayeng, Advisor to Chief Minister informed that 68 km Mebo Dholla road has been approved and sanctioned by the NEC and the survey work is going on at present. He said that the Rs 265 crore project will benefit the people of Mebo Sub-Division, Paglam circle under Lower Dibang Valley District and the people of neighbouring Assam living along the inter-state boundary. He also highlighted other developmental projects initiated by the present Govt and informed the people about the creations of new Anchal Segments and Zilla Parishad Blocks under Mebo Assembly Constituency. He also called upon the people to maintain the buildings, to keep it clean and to make avenue plantations in the vicinity for beautification.
Tapir Gao, State BJP President while speaking on the occasion said that the Pema Khandu led Govt in the State is stable and all the BJP MLAs are intact at present.
Kangkong Borang, a centenarian who is also the senior most head Gaon Burah of the area was invited as a special guest in the Musup Inauguration at Motum. He cited an Aabee (poetic rhapsody) for the house warming, good luck, well being and prosperity of all the people and development of the area.
Kaling Moyong, Parliamentary Secretary for Disaster Management, Tatung Jamoh, Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, etc, Tamiyo Tatak, DC Pasighat, Prashant Gautam, SP Pasighat and Yemling Tayeng, ADC Mebo were present among others.
