Arunachal: Tage Taki inaugurates Food Festival at dree ground

Minister for Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary, etc., Tage Taki today inaugurated Food Festival here at Dree ground. Taki along with other dignitaries visited various food stalls on the occasion.
Wishing Dree festival greetings to the people of Apatani, he stated that the festival is an agriculture festival where prayers are offered to the natural gods. It is also an occasion for us to come together and share ideologies and interlink each other.
“It is a good festival and the young generation should keep it alive in the coming days. The style of the festival can be adapted with time keeping the significant and the nature of the festival intact,” said Taki.
“Bring development in the Apatani Plateau is in my agenda but in the same way I will work for the over all development of the state,” he added.
He said that he has a plan to improve the dree ground and set up marriage hall at Ziro in the coming years.
Meanwhile, speaking to the reporters, Taki stated these kinds of agri-based festival indirectly or directly encourages the farmers to work for their own products. “The future of our state depends heavily on agriculture and horticulture, and therefore it is necessary to encourage the farmers so that the state economy will be boosted,” he added.
Stressing on the PM Modi target to increase the income of farmers double by 2022, he said that accordingly he is planning on it and assured working on in the coming days to felicitates farmers of the state.
