Arunachal : NIFCS celebrates 19th Foundation Day

The Nyishi Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society (NIFCS) Papum Pare district unit celebrated its 19th foundation day here at Tribal Research & Studies Centre, Nyedar Namlo, at Rono ground, Doimukh in befitting manner.
Addressing the function as chief guest newly created Indigenous Affairs Department Chairman Nabam Atum appreciated the state government led by Pema Khandu for creating of the Department of Indigenous Affairs (DIA) and said that I shall deliver my duty being the Chairman with sincerity for the development of indigenous community of state and for protection of indigenous movement.
He said that there are lot of expectation of the indigenous people from the department and sought cooperation form one and all in the matter of streamline of the indigenous movement of state. The department is a newly created and we shall look forward for the promotion and protection of language, manuscripts and its documentation and promotion of indigenous tradition and culture
He urge upon the community members to use the infrastructure Tribal Research and Studies Centre and upkeep for its long lasting. The asset need to be utilised as a place for character building and man making centre for the society.
Chief Information Commissioner Dr. Joram Begi in his address elaborate as how the NIFCS come into being and its objective of its formation for the betterment of the society and promotion of indigenous movement in the state.
He suggest the demarcation of Nyedar Namlo, Nyishi Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society(NIFCS) and Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh(IFCSAP) activities.
NIFCS President Er Pai Dawe lauded the state government led by Pema Khandu for creating the department and appointing person who is already in the field of indigenous movements for years together the man like Nabam Atum and hope that Atum would work for the betterment of the indigenous people of the state in better way.
Joint Secretary and I/C Papum Pare district Dr. Techi Rekhi delivered his key note address on the activities of the NIFCS in Papum Pare district in particular and state in general.
IFCSAP Secretary General Bai Taba spoke on increasing of indigenous movement and involvement of youths. NIFCS, Vice President Dr Taba Heli delivered his lecture and objective and importance of the NIFCS in the field of preservation and protection of indigenous movement in state. Professor Tana Showren spoke on preservation of language and local dialect by parents with children in day to day activities.
RSS (Prant Pracharak) Dr Sunil Mohanty has stressed for better coordination among the indigenous believers for smooth and proper development among indigenous identity and culture. Dr Techi Upen Tara, Doimukh Nyeder Namlo Committee Chairman Nangbia Taya among other address and give their suggestion, advice and word of blessing to the gathering on the occasion.
Nabam Atum on the occasion was felicitated by the organisation for his tireless efforts for the preservation and protection of indigenous movement in state since his entire life.
