EKSWCO under the chairmanship of Khya Safar Pao and Vice-Chairman Dahey Sangno with the coordination of District Administration discussed various points and made major resolutions to improve the Education system of the district especially of government schools.
- Some of the important resolutions taken during the discussion was
- banning of mobile phones in schools,
- regular parents teacher meetings to be conducted monthly in all the government schools of the district,
- counselling of students , strengthening of School Management Committee (SMCs),
- re-evaluation of Anganwadi workers qualification and proper procedure to be followed while appointing the Anganwadi workers.
The major points discussed during the day long interaction session were rationalisation of transfer or posting irrespective of gender without any political interference, scrapping of No detention policy and mass detention in Class-IX and Class-XI , discourage students to participate in various students organisations and Unions and focus more on study, proper implementation of 75% attendance of students in the schools.
EKSWCO also appealed parents and guardians for proper parenting of their wards at home and also requested all the teachers to impart proper education and to be sincere in their duties.
District Commissioner,Seppa Gaurav Singh Rajawat also suggested few points to improve the education system of the district and said he is ready to implement the resolutions taken by the EKSWCO.
DDSE , Seppa Duken Kato , SMC Chairpersons, Principals , All Teachers Association, East Kameng DIstrict Unit , Parents and Guardians were also present in the day long interaction program at Anne Donyi Nyelle Lapang (hall) , Seppa, East Kameng.
