Helping Hands NGO honoured with ‘ The Humanity Excellence Award ‘

Helping Hands NGO was honoured with ‘The Humanity Excellence Award ‘ for reaching out to distress NE people in cities. Inspector General, Joint Commissioner and founder of Helping Hands NGO, Delhi, Robin Hibu received the ‘The Humanity Excellence Award’ from Minister for Social Justice GoI, Ram Dass Atwal at Siri Fort Auditorium here on Tuesday last.
Robin Hibu told the jam packed audience about shriek pain and agonies of common NE people in cities ( called us chinky, discriminations, exploitations, fraud, ill-treatment … etc ), reminded them of avoidable deaths of late Nido Tania, Salouni, Richard Loitam, Sangma and Yamgampi.
He also gratefully acknowledged them with – “Kaun Kehta he dili walon ka dil nahin hai”. also thanked them for reaching out to NE people by Delhites through Helping Hands Ngo through their CSR philanthropic activities for NE folks like UPSC coaching scholarship, NE blood bank, hospitals concession, free coffin of dead bodies by Airlines- Indigo and Vistara, orphans scholarship, free burial and cremation, legal assistance, free food at langar during crisis for NE youth.
Robin also reminded the audience about umbilical cord connection of NE states with mainland India since Vedic times ( parshuram kund, rukmini, arjuna wife….) martyrs from NE – Konoklata, Matmur jamoh, Bir Tikendrajit Singh….. and the latest hero Hangapan Dada, who died heroic death for the country.
