Police Arrested Arunachal’s ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ who Looted 43 ATMs in Capital Complex

In a major breakthrough the Capital Police led by Capital SP Sagar Singh Kalsi have claimed to solved vandalism case of several ATMs in state capital which have experienced in the recent past.

 

Stating the couple as ‘Bunty Aur  Babli’ a film where a couple were engaged in such act like crime for public harassment have been arrested by Capital Police , informed SP Capital Sagar Singh Kalsi.

This Bunty Aur Babli here in this case are, “The accused Nima Wangchu, aged 34 years a resident of Dirang in West Kameng while other Puja Kuma, aged 22 years of Kolam, Khonsa of Tirap district and local resident of Senki park, Itanagar have been arrested and will be produced in court for remand and further investigation” .

Several documents, I/Card, ATM card and large quantity of iron tools for committing crime, three mobile phone and clothes used by them have been recovered so far and investigation is on to ascertain that they are involved in any other case or not.

Kalsi also assured that even arrest of this couple we will continue to have a vigil in all such case, he added.

Kalsi said that we are facing ATM vandalising cases and so far 43 such cases were reported and registered in Itanagar, Naharlagun and Nirjuli  police station of the capital complex.

Capital Police laid several traps for last 15-20 days and we were on run to nab those who are involved. We get support of human intelligence, bank support and several other inputs which have led to arrest of a couple who is involve in the case. After lots of efforts and rigorous pressure and intelligence led to arrest of a couple. In this regard several meeting were held with the bank staffs and security agency to nab the criminal.

The success was delayed because there were only a single couple which we have been able to arrest and have been detected in almost all the ATMs vandalised so far in last 4 month. Mode of operandis was almost same in all the cases and the clothes, footage, and all sources which were used by the couple is also same. Said Kalsi.

 

Kalsi went on adding that there was a cash loss of around four lakhs but the bank authority and security agency said that it was a loss of more than 1 crore and the more which would incure of maintenance of all those machines, the most important the consumers have been suffering since then and many of the ATMs are still under maintenance,

Kalsi also assured that even arrest of this couple we will continue to have a vigil in all such case, he added.

Meanwhile the sources said that Itanagar Police station itself have registered case of 33 machines vandalism case, in Naharalgun it was 9 and 1 at Nirjuli.

Several NGOs and youth have appreciated and congratulated the team effort in solving the much talked issue in the city ‘ATM vandalism case’ and appreciated the team of police officers of capital which include city SP Sagar Singh Kalsi, SDPO Naharlagun Make Bui, SDPO Itanagar Dekio Gumja, OC Itanaagr Tabi Bage, OC Naharlagun N. Riba, OC Nirjuli K. Dev, SI. N. Nishant, SI. A.K. Singh, ASI. A.K. Jha and all his subordinate officers.
