Arunachal: APCC serve 10 days ultimatum to state govt on TAH issue

Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today served 10 days ultimatum to the state government to follow up action on the TAH Scam issue confronting the state.
APCC President Takam Sanjoy while addressing the media said that the team of APCC had a fact finding committees and meet several beneficiaries and deprived/affected people on TAH in Lower Subansiri and Kamle district recently. The fact finding committee of APCC have also visited several places in these two district and have first hand information. we have seen, people are crying, widows are crying and our team assured support to them in the hour of such situation.
“We have submitted a memorandum alongwith an ultimatum to the chief Secretary with 7 point for consideration in ten days or else to launch democratic movement that whatever points we have presented to the state government and they must take action within ten days which are in the greater interest of the general public, sanjoy said.
The fact finding committee constituted by the government should immediately revivify the field assessment work of affected people from Potin to Bopi and Joram to Koloriang.
Few portion of the stretch from Joram to Koloriang have been done while rest immediately should be done in front of the land affected people, organisation, district administration and official from Ministry of Road Transport & Highway (MORTH) with advance proper information and advertisement through media and other source of medium. Proper video and photograph and if possible compensation payment may be done on the spot in Yachuli, Ziro and Raga assembly constituency, Sanjoy demanded.
All non APST name from the compensation list should be deleted as they do not have land in state , all fake bill need to be recovered and the amount need to deposited to the account of the Deputy Commissioner account.
Sanjoy said that considering the sensitiveness of multi crore scam, the SIC which is handling the investigating on area of criminal conspiracies and legal standing is not competent enough and demanded the matter should be handed over to CBI for free and fair investigation.
He said that while through probe and investigation are done including re-assessment through re-verification of land of affected people, the state government and central government have lost nearly 7 years, the contractor who was awarded the work from Potin-Pangin has to surrender, fresh and immediate tender for at least four package should be held since the road has strategically and for defence importance.
He said that the APCC is going to organise a mass meeting where the leaders of all political party will be invited. The representative of land affected committee, organisation, students organisation, community and other organisation agitating on the issue will be invited including the AITF and local students organisation of Raga, Ziro and Yachuli where a decision will be taken to take further courses of action if the government fail to take a tangible action on the serious TAH scam.
When asked about the congress role, Sanjoy said that we are not spearheading the movement but when we visited several places and listen to the grievance which have made us to support their demand, he said that congress is not the beneficiaries but all those who are living on both side of the TAH and all those who prefer the said road as only lifeline of connectivity are affected. Sanjoy added.
