Thousands of students carried out protest march demanding recall of CAB-2019

The students community of Arunachal Pradesh also join the anti-CAB protest on Friday. Thousands of students mostly are from Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), North East Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST), Arunachal Law academy (ALA) today carried out protest march from Rajiv Gandhi University campus to Itanagar protesting against the passing of the Contentious CAB.
Students having anti CAB, anti BJP leaflet, banners, hoardings and cutouts shouting slogans, “ CAB se chhayea azaadi’, ‘No to CAB’, “BJP se azaadi chaahiye”.
The protesters started their march from University campus, passed through Baghe Tinali, Naharlaugn and then to Itanagar covering a distance of around 30 Kilometre an shouting slogans all the way.

The protesters also shouted slogans against the Assam Chief Minister for his inaction and raising of voice against the bill any where. They demanded immediate break of silence of the leaders of various political party and organization.
They also thanks those who have raised their voice against the bill since 2016 to till date.
Addressing the media, RGSU President Dopum Sonam said that we are protesting against the bill since 2016 but the ruling BJP party in state and centre have never heard our sentiment.
We feel like alienation when the ruling party at both state and centre do not understand our sentiment, voice and demand and trying to divide us from sister state of region and playing politic.
It is nothing but like a dictatorship and dictatorial attitude and which is harmful for the society and the people of NE region and country, He said.
We will continue to protest in different mode of democratic movement even if it is passed by parliament and signed by President of India, Sonam said.
He also sought clarification on the status of the chakma-Hajong residing in Arunachal Pradesh and demanded immediate written clarification/statement. Sonam added.
He further said that we have submitted one point memorandum to the However for removal or repeal of the CAB.
Students Union of NERIST, President Tadar Mamang while said that the decision taken by the BJP led government have fooled us. We shall continue to protest against the CAB.
Assam is burning and we too are suffering and feel the pains and we shall not keep silence and the centre should understand the sentiments of the indigenous people of the state and the region. Tadar added.
RGUSU, General Secretary Kumar Rai said that there has been widespread violence in the Assam, Tripura and other parts of NE region but the centre is merely watching silently. ILP have been there for decades and the center government saying about ILP is nothing but trying to divide we people and playing politic and playing with the sentiments of the indigenous people of the region. He said.
Their act seems to communal. The centre should immediately think of it and try to pacify the problem arise out of passing of the Bill. Kumar added.
