Naharlagun Police today warned the gamblers active in Itanagar and Naharlagun township to stay away from gambling as it affect the economic condition of the gambler as well as their family, and also destroy huge gambling materials.
Talking to Arunachal24 SDPO, Naharlagun Make Bui informed that the gambler play hide and seek even the gambling is banned in the state.
“We have carried several raids in and around the township and recovered a huge catch of gambling materials which have been completely disposed off. We have even apprehended several gamblers in due course of time and warned other not to involve in gambling any more”. he added.
The destruction of illegal dice materials where carried out as per the order of Executive magistrate Naharlagun vide order no. Nlg /jud-02/17/010 .Dated 14 November last. Total destroyed. 105 Dice board. 105 dice mat. 630 dice cube. The items were seized during Dipawali to till date. Bui said.
Several cases registered in Naharlagun PS itself which include case no-153/17. 158/17. 159/17. 160/17. U /S 188 IPC R/W sec 4 APG (prohibition )Act 2012. He added.
