JIC on Scholarship appeal state government to release scholarship of remaining students
The delay in release of scholarship have made several problem to thousand of those students who are pursuing higher education in various parts of the country, some of them are totally dependent on the scholarship only.

Joint Interim Committee (JAC) on Scholarship appealed the state government to immediately release the scholarship of more than two thousand students which are still pending and the students are eagerly waiting for it.
JIC Chairman, Taro Akang informed Arunachal24 that “due to delay in release of scholarship to the genuine students have left lots of untold suffering during the normal academic activities”.
The delay in release of scholarship have made several problem to thousand of those students who are pursuing higher education in various parts of the country, some of them are totally dependent on the scholarship only.
Several states of country have released the scholarship of their students immediately as and when the fund are released from the central government but in our state it is being delayed and the reason is best known to the authority. added Taro .
Taro said that “we have been pursuing the matter with the Directorate of Social Justice & Empowerment and Tribal Affairs for months together but till date all students have not received their scholarship.
He further said the team of JIC on Thursday also meet the Director Yumlam Kaha, However he assured to disburse but again he did not provide any specific time for it.

He further appeal the state government for early release of the scholarship to the remaining students in the greater interest of the welfare of the students communities and up gradation of the education scenario.
When contacted Director Tribal Affairs Yumlam Kaha inform that the post matric scholarship was delayed due to non release of the fund from centre in time. After lots of persuasion the fund was released in part and accordingly the scholarship was disbursed to the students after proper approval from the state government.
Kaha said that there are around eighteen thousand students of which scholarship has been disbursed to more than fifteen thousand beneficiaries in three phase, so far around forty two crore of fund have been release in three phase which started form the first week of Sept.
Around two thousand four hundred forty four students have left out and we have send a proposal of approval of Rs. 6.81 lakh to public finance management system (SPMU AP PFMS) for expenditure authorisation, as and when he approval will arrived from the state government we will not delay a single day to pursue for its disbursement to the students which would directly go to the students registered account. Kaha added.
