DY CM Chowna Mein Appraised CM Pema Khandu About the Flood Situation in Namsai

Arunachal Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein appraised Chief Minister Pema Khandu about the flood situation in Namsai district and sought government’s support in extending necessary assistance to tackle the flood situation.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu has assured Mein for all possible help in rescue and relief of flood affected people and assistance to deal with the crises.
DCM Mein who is personally monitoring the flood situation following heavy rainfall in the last few days has spoken to Deputy Commissioner Namsai R.K.Sharma to take stock of the situation arising out of the floods in Namsai district.
Mein has directed district administration to gear up man and materials for carrying out rescue and relief operations for the flood affected people and to set up temporary relief camps in affected areas and deploy NDRF teams for rescue and relief operation in the district.
During the telephonic conversation, DC Sharma has briefed the Deputy Chief Minister about the prevailing situation and the steps taken to give succor to the marooned people in the district.
Earlier on the day, Local MLA Namsai Chow Zingnu Namchoom also called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu to apprise him of the flood situation in Namsai district.
Namchoom is in constant touch with district administration to make assessment about the flood situation and coordinate with the state government.
Meanwhile, Namchoom has informed the district administration that necessary mechanism has been put in place by the government for dealing with the flood situation.
