As many as 250 volunteers from Railway Scouts and Guides have been deployed round-the-clock to endure smooth movement of pilgrims during boarding and de-boarding of trains.
For pilgrims coming from different parts of the country, especially West Bengal, two special trains are being run between Kamakhya & Malda Town and Kamakhya & Howrah. These trains will help the pilgrims coming into Kamakhya and going out from Kamakhya after the conclusion of the mela.
The N. F. Railway, working in tandem with State Govt authorities, is sparing no effort for smooth conduct of the mela. The railway also requests the public and all stakeholders to maintain discipline and decorum in railway station premises so that travelling pilgrims do not suffer due to overcrowding and all amenities like toilet, drinking water etc. are able to accessed by all.
