Assam police arrested two Arunachalee youth from Bishnupur area under Narayanpur police station of North Lakhimpur district of Assam. Arunachalee youth went their for hunting.
The sources inform that two youths from Arunachal side carrying Airgun crossed the Arunachal area and went Assam for hunting. Both were obstructed by the local villagers in that area and after altercation followed by scuffle, one of the youth fired upon locals who obstructed them, one B Bora received injured in his stomach.
The Assam police from Narayanpur reached to the spot ad arrested both Arunachalee youths. They are identified as Nabam Rebia and Nabam Taying.
Meanwhile, Capital SP Tumme Amo while confirming the incident said that Nabam Rebia and Nabam Taying went to Patali Pahar, Assam for hunting birds with Airgun, during which one person was seriously injured by his Airgun.
The villagers of Assam overpowered & apprehended both the persons and handed over to Narayanpur Police Station.
A case Vide Narayanpur PS Case No. 125/2019 U/s. 120(B)/447/307/506 IPC R/w Sec 51 WLP Act has been registered. Both the persons are in police custody.
The victim, B. Borah of Patali Pahar village was immediately evacuated by villagers to TRIMSH, Naharlagun, the victim was stable and improving well and has been discharged from TRIHMS today after proper medication, Amo said.
