All preparation have been completed and the administration is giving its finishing touch for celebration of 72nd I-Day celebration in grand way like every year.
Director General of Police, S B K Singh informed that all preparation have been almost competed and the administration is giving its finishing touch for 72nd Independence day celebration across the state.
Elaborate security arrangement have been made in all district by superintendent of Police, all check gate have been alerted to check any anti sabotage activities, security have been beefed up in entire capital complex and all district headquarter where the celebration would be celebrated in grand way where large numbers of people would be gathered.
The parade rehearsal which began from August 1 have been completed and full dress rehearsal was done on Monday and the final parade would be performed on Independence day with enthusiasm and patriot in mind. Large numbers of visitor are expected and the administration have made all arrangement in this regard. Singh added.
Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex Prince Dhawan today took stock of the final preparation for the Independence Day 2018 here at IG Park on Monday informed that all preparation is almost done.
While taking a review meeting with officers of all line department he called for a review and ensure that no last minute lacunae is left and the day is celebrated in a grand way in its true spirit.
As the stage is all set for tomorrow, the DC informed that the sitting arrangement has been done in a different way this time to ensure proper view for everyone. Altogether, 23 parade contingents including students and uniformed personnel are participating in the March past.
A cultural team from Meghalaya is also arriving tomorrow to participate in the Independence Day celebration along with 10 cultural tribes from the state and 4 different cultural teams from schools, informed the DC.
Capital SP M Harsha Vardhan while informed that SDPO Balijan Dekio Gumja shall lead the parade contingent as Parade commander.
