BSF Apprehends Cattle Smugglers
Guwahati –
Troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force apprehended two cattle smugglers and one Bangladeshi national on Wednesday from the International Boundary under South Salmara district of Assam.
The cattle smugglers identified namely as Firdus Alam, and Mohidur Islam. Both are resident of Village Choraigram, of District South Salamara were apprehended by the troops of BOP Diara alongwith cattle heads, while they were trying to smuggle them from India to Bangladesh.
Meanwhile one Bangladeshi national Basurishi Kalicharan was also apprehended by the troops of BOP Kalaicharbari.
Apprehended cattle smugglers & Bangladeshi national along with seized cattle heads and other items were handed over to local police for legal action.
Beside, BSF troops of Guwahati frontier seized 123 cattle heads having approximate value of Rs 6,65,340/-, 30 Phensidyl and miscellaneous items worth Rs. 66,305/- on intervening night of 21/22 Dec 2016.
BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes & illegal infiltration and are making all out efforts to prevent commission such crimes.
