ABSU Support GJM Movement for Gorkhaland

All Bodo Students Union ( ABSU ) and National Democratic Front of Bodoland Progressive ( NDFB-P) has expressed their support and solidarity to ongoing Gorkhaland movement by Gorkha Jankranti Morcha in Drajeeling.
Addressing a Press Conference at Kokrajhar , ABSU president Promod Boro said that ” The outburst of Violence in Darjeeling area is nothing but an unwarranted outcome of the autocratic rule of the Bengal government as well as Government of India’s utter negligence towards the problem’.
As the member of the National Federation for New States (NFNS) we hereby express our support and solidarity towards the Gorkha people’s movement for Gorkhaland. At the same time we urge the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha leadership to lead the movement through democratic, peaceful and non-violent means, said Promod Boro.
Further he appeal both the agitating leadership and the Bengal administration to keep themselves restraint from violence and maintain peace in the area”.
He also demanded immediate intervention of Government of India on the matter of Gorkhaland Movement as it was a pre-pole commitment of the BJP. The Central Committee of BJP should clear its official stand on the issue.
