Arunachal: Rural Mart inaugurated at Namphai
Dr. Gyanandra Mani, General Manager, NABARD, Itanagar inaugurated a Rural Mart at Namphai-I Village in Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh.

Dr. Gyanandra Mani, General Manager, NABARD, Itanagar had inaugurated a Rural Mart at Namphai-I Village under Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh on 16th January’2019.
The rural mart has been sanctioned to Shanti SHG, of Namphai-I village, promoted by R.K. Mossang Memorial Society and sponsored by NABARD to encourage and assist rural weavers and artisans to sell their products by giving them a readymade platform to become self-reliant.
This rural mart will provides a market link to rural people for their handloom & handicraft produces and manufactured by women SHGs besides generating income and employment at grass root level.
In his speech Dr. Gyanandra Mani, told that “the main objective of this rural mart scheme is economic empowerment of women in village level, so that they can support their family. He also assured to support the SHGs in providing technical help”.
He appreciated the works done by R.K. Mossang Memorial Society in promoting 2 nos. of SHGs in setting up rural mart in Changlang district.
Later, Dr. Mani interacted with the members of SHGs and Farmers’ Club.
