Arunachal: National Deworming Day-2018 launched in Balijan

1st Round of National Deworming Day (NDD)’2018 launched by Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Dr. Joram Beda, here at Govt Higher Secondary School, Balijan in a befitting manner today on 27th Aug’2018.
While addressing the students he highlighted on the importance of deworming and its health benefits.
He advised the students to apply hand washing techniques in their homes demonstrated by the ASHA worker and create awareness among friends and relatives about health and hygiene.
After the speech, DC administered albendazole tablets to the students and directed the school administration to ensured that all children are dewormed.
District Medical Officer Dr. (Mrs) Subu Tasso Kampu who also spoke on the occasion informed that aim of the programme is to deworm all children from 1-19 years to improve their health condition.
She also informed the students about multiple benefits of deworming tablets and advised the students to maintain health and hygiene.
Award winning ASHA Smti Taba Bina demonstrated the hand washing techniques to the students .
ADC In-Charge Balijan EAC Shri Nabam Tajik, MO i/c CHC Balijan, SMO, Programme Officers, CHC balijan Staffs , teachers, GBs and students were present during the programme.
