Arunachal: Janjatiya Gaurav Divas and Seva Aap Ke Dwar.2 held at Ziro

Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Bamin Nime flagged of the walkathon and later distributed the prizes to the winners.

ZIRO-   As part of ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Divas’, ten school students from various schools of the valley took part at the 3 kms walkathon organized here today morning.

The participants walked on foot from Dani Kunia Govt.Higher Secondary School covering Pai Gate, Hapoli Market and the walk culminated at the Padi Yubee Outdoor Stadium.

Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Bamin Nime flagged of the walkathon and later distributed the prizes to the winners.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Nime urged the school students to imbibe the habit of walking, which he said was good for health.

Rakhe Tasar, Tayo Tasuk and Tushal Kumar were awarded cash prizes of Rs 3000/-, 2000/- and 1000/- along with certificates for securing first, second and third prizes respectively, while the rest participants were awarded Rs 1000/- each along with certificates by the DC.

Meanwhile, the Lower Subansiri District Administration also organized a Seva Aap Ke Dwar.2 at Siiro village as part of ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’.

Civil departments including Health and Family Welfare, Agriculture, Horticulture, Women and Child Development, Economics and Statistics, Food and Civil Supplies, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and few public sector banks took part at the outreach programme and put up stalls.

The camp was inaugurated by Siiro Zilla Parishad Member Hibu Ochey in presence of Gano ZPM Takhe Taling and villagers of Siiro and Hong.

Later, Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Bamin Nime and District Prabari officer Devender Kumar also attended the camp and distributed certificates to the beneficiaries.

The DC urged the villagers to make the best use of such outreach activities to fulfill the saturation goals of Govt. flagship schemes to achieve the status of ‘Viksit’ or developed India by 2047 as laid out by the Central Govt.
