PALIN- The two days Birds Count on the sidelines of BIRDNOV,2023 was held in Palin with support by Kra Daadi Forest Division lead by Charu Noni RFO(pro) and Tassar Welfare Society lead by Tassar Ada.
The two days winter Birds Count which were held from 10th-11th November’2023 was concluded with the count of 68 different species of birds like Eye browed Wrenbabbler, Rufous backed Sibia, Lemon rumped Warbler, Himalayan Buzzard, White crested Laughingthrush, Ashy Drongo and Hill Partrige etc were spotted during the count.

Arunachal Pradesh Birding Club imparting awareness among the local people to protect and conserve birds species of the state since its inception in the year 2009. The club teams has organised series of awareness camp and workshop in the different forest areas of the state.
Basically, the motives of the club is to count birds in vulnerable areas like community land and forest areas where illegal hunting is rampant. And aware the local community about importance of birds in both the ecology and economy context.
In the past series of birds count were carried out in collaboration with local NGOs in Basar, Pasighat ,Ziro, Raga Lungla and Zemithang.
The milestone achievement of the club is the launching of Ziro Birds Walk away back in year 2019 by involving community in Bird walk once a month till date which became talked of the state in conservation context.
