With the local public of Raga area and Kamle district in general, APCC also demanded CBI probe on TAH compensation scam.
In a public meeting held here at Buri Boot Yullo ground on Friday wherein hundreds of local residents attended and discussed various issue confronting the problems of the local in view of non starting of the Trans Arunachal Highway from Potin to Bopi.
Addressing the meeting former Members of Parliament and Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Takam Sanjoy said that it is a very sad state of affairs of the TAH from Potin to Pangin, and Silapathar to Bame.
The TAH road which was sanctioned years back is yet to show the light of good road and at many location the construction is yet to takes place in compare to the TAH in Eastern Arunachal. It was expected that the work may be started in 2014 but even after 4 years the work yet to begin and even the second time tender process is yet to start. Terming the TAH compensation scam as ‘ mid day robbery’ and demanded immediate re assessment and at the same time the case to be handed over to CBI for a better probe into the scam.
He said that the state government immediately need to work out to start the work through immediate tender and the re-assessment of the compensation paid to the beneficiaries from Potin to Bopi.
Sanjoy said the TAH is one of the life line of many district and due to non execution of the project the worst sufferers are the local people living in these district who have lots of aspiration and hope with the government.
Sanjoy said that the patient of the locals are going down and the congress will not sit idle and will hit the street, sit on dharna and even to organise ‘Jail Bharo Andolan’.

He said that the team for congress leaders have meet Governor and Chief Minister in this regard and demanded proper res assessment of whole stretch of road from Potin to Bopi and recover the excess payment made to those who have no land and property in the said stretch of road.
He also demanded immediate legal action against all those who are involved in the mid day robbery of the public fund. No person should be given compensation who have no.
AIMC General Secretary Jarjum Ete, Senior congress leader Nani Rajen, Kamle district land affected committee Chairman Dinesh Maga, executive member from All Yaptap Youth Association, senior citizen Chamrak Tatam, Kabam Tamla, Guchi Tamar, Nido Yapa, youth leader Tayio Tallar and several other laders and land affected people of the Raga, Boa Simla, Godak area also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier the land affected committee members and victims carried protest march and procession demanding at Raga township in morning demanding immediate re-verification of both side of the road (TAH) and arrest of all officials and person involved in the scam of the public money.
