Doimukh
A 17 year girl of Doimukh circle missing since Thursday morning of which report was filed by her family member today was found and recovered from Dolohat area of North Lakhimpur district of Assam.
One of the family member (brother) who filed the FIR at Doimukh Police Station claimed that his sister was missing since yesterday but though a phone call by her that she have been kidnapped and she is hostile in Dolohat area today.
SP Papum Pare Tumme Amo when contacted said that we received a FIR of missing of a girl today at around 9.30 AM and on receipt of information after registering a GD entry at Doimukh Police Station a team was constituted with SI T M Nekam, Ct. L Uru, Ct. D. Purpha, Ct. T. Ikha under supervision of OC Padi Payang and team left for Dolohar and with support of local police from Dolohat Out Post the Doimukh police have been able to recover the minor girl as well as the accused.
After reaching the Police Station the victim girl in her statement said that that she was kidnapped and forcefully raped by the accused.
The Doimukh Police sources said that after conducting all formalities the victim was handed over to the parents and family members while the accused was forwarded to the Itanagar Women Police Station for further registration of case and POCSO Act and IPC and further action.
The Doimukh police further informed that the accused has been identified as Sema Lama of Bomdila.
Meanwhile Capital SP, Sagar Singh Kalsi informed this daily that the accused have been arrested and subsequently a case have been registered at Women Police Station Itanagar u/s-365 IPc, RW Sec 6 of POCSO Act and further investigation is on.
